Auditions for Garden Theatre are coming up soon! Garden Theater will be a little different this year, and we’re excited to announce that we will be producing not one, but two different shows! We have 2 ACT Youth Wing seniors that will be directing: Ella Dietzel will be directing “Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells!” by Allison Gregory, and Sophie Galan will be directing “Happily Ever After?” by Laura Sebastian.
This year’s auditions will be closed and you will be auditioning with prepared monologues which are supplied at the bottom of this email. Auditions are open to 6 - 12 graders, and we ask that you sign up for an audition time on using Signup Genius at the bottom of this email. Auditions will go one at a time and run about 10 minutes total, Masks are mandatory. Please come to the lobby before your audition time to check in, get your number and fill out your audition form. When you are called in to audition, you will perform your monologue, and then run some lines with the production team. If you are auditioning on Sunday, you will then move on to the black box and perform your monologue again for the second show.
Please be aware that auditions on Sunday April 25 are for both shows, auditions on Tuesday, April 27 are for “Junie B.” and Wednesday, April 28 are for “Happily Ever After?”.
Please only sign up for ONE audition time, if you can’t come on Sunday but would like to audition for both shows, please text Mrs. Wendy and let her know the day and time you will be auditioning and that you want to be considered for both shows. She will record your audition for the other director.
Please share the following information with your parents so they can check the calendar for conflicts, these will need to be put on your audition form.
