ACT COVID-19 PROTOCOL:
As Aiken Community Theatre begins to reopen and explore the new reality of performing during a pandemic, we are determined to create the safest way to gather.
The following precautions are put in place in accordance with the CDC and SCDHEC, and out of an abundance of caution, for the safety of staff, performers, audience members and volunteers.
If you are not feeling well or have been exposed to COVID-19 in the last two weeks, or in the event that a performance must be canceled, please call the box office at 803-648-1438 to discuss exchange or donation options.
Any person entering Aiken Community Theatre or attending any events hosted by Aiken Community Theatre waives all liability against the organization and staff for any injuries caused by the inherent risk associated with contracting COVID-19 at public gatherings.
GENERAL SAFETY PROTOCOLS:
With the exception of cast members actively performing, masks are REQUESTED upon entry and for the duration of attendance at Aiken Community Theatre performances by both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.
Assigned seating in Phelon Auditorium will remain. Patrons choose seating when they purchase their tickets.
Aiken Community Theatre sanitizes the building before and after every performance with a medical-grade sanitizer.
All handles, rails, counters, sinks, doors and commonly touched surfaces are wiped down with disinfectant before and after each performance.
ENTRY AND WHILE YOU’RE HERE:
Staff, House Managers, and Volunteers will be trained on safety guidelines and enforcement, and patrons are asked to be respectful and comply with any requests made by Aiken Community Theatre staff or volunteers.
We ask that patrons arrive early so that common areas do not become overcrowded. Please be aware that you may be asked to wait outside while other guests are seated.
Hand sanitizer stations can be found at several locations in the theatre and restrooms for patrons to use.
Social distancing of at least six feet is recommended in the theatre and theatre lobby.
Lobby bathrooms upstairs and downstairs will be available to eliminate long waits..
Seats are assigned and guests are asked to stay in their seats. It is important for Aiken Community Theatre Staff to know the exact location of all patrons in case of emergency.
Front of House Staff will open the auditorium entry doors and the left exit door near the stage to offer patrons multiple exits at the end of the show.
