This is a comedic retelling of the classic story. The play has many, many parts that are not listed here. Largely, these parts can be any age/gender/race. Most (but not all) involve some level of stage combat. If you have been considering auditioning for a show, this is a good one to get your feet wet!
Robin Hood (male 20s-40s): A good-hearted rascal concerned with the well-being of the people. Lots of stage combat.
Marian (female 20s-40s): Robin’s love interest (who turns out the be the real hero). Lots of stage combat.
Sir Guy (male 20s-60s): The villain. Pompous, ruthless, and full of swagger. He gets his in the end. Some stage combat.
Sheriff (male 20s-60s): Sir Guy’s right hand man. Primarily comic relief. Some stage combat.
Friar Tuck (male 20s-60s): Not only a character in the play, but the narrator, as well. Some stage combat.
Deorwynn (female 20s-40s): Marian’s rival for Robin’s affections. Some stage combat.
Little John (male 20s-50s): Good fighter with a heart of gold and a romantic interest in Deorwynn. Lots of stage combat.
Prince John (male 30s-60s): Member of the royal family with a penchant for literary expression.
There are 20 odd additional roles that might be double (or triple or quadruple or…) cast, depending on the turnout for auditions. Youth wing members are encouraged to audition.
