The Aiken Community Theatre

Established in 1952, Aiken Community Playhouse was formed by a small group of community members with a common goal of providing entertainment for Aiken residents. Since then, the theatre relocated to a beautiful new facility, strengthened and expanded youth and educational programs, moved into a year-round entertainment production schedule, and rebranded as Aiken Community Theatre (ACT). ACT is a vital and ever-expanding hub of the arts in our community.

ACT is a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to entertain, educate, and enrich our community by providing a quality theatre experience. ACT is funded in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
